ABOUT ME

I graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. degree in Art and received a Master’s of Fine Art degree from The University of Cincinnati. For 39 years, I was employed as an art restorer for Old World Restorations, Inc. in Cincinnati working on paintings for individuals and art dealers as well as restoring the art work within historic architectural sites, including Mother of God Church, Covington, Kentucky, and the Taft Birthplace historic site in Cincinnati. I am now retired, painting my own subject matter and enjoying my life to the fullest.

ARTISTS STYLE

I am a colorist; that is, I heighten the natural colors present in a scene to elicit a stronger emotional response to the painting and subject matter.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Exhibiting our artwork since 2012 and raising money for programs that benefit persons with disabilities.

  • My son and I formed “Aaron’s Art for Autism” selling original paintings as well as notecards and holiday cards printed from our original works.

  • In 2020, during the COVID pandemic, we held an online auction for two paintings resulting in the donation of $500 to the Freestore Foodbank and $800 to the Hope Emergency Center.

  • Recently, my work was part of a Ukrainian Relief program sponsored by a local art gallery. The paintings, by various local artists, featured sunflowers, the national flower of Ukraine. The exhibit sold over 25 paintings and garnered several thousands of dollars in donations.
